Los Angeles [Part Three]

Is it Anaheim? Still Los Angeles? Both? Dude, I don't know. They call 'em the Los Angeles Angels, now, so let's go with that. We had a reasonable amount of time, and a lot of driving to do. Let's roll.

We drove in the daylight this time, all down the spine of California from the bay to LA. There were so many orchards, tons of almonds & various whatever things growing... it was ridiculous.

Cool desert hills!

Downtown LA approaching Angel stadium!

They're silly, but I love those giant hats!

Best outfield decoration, by far.

Vladimir Guerrero, sans batting gloves!

Super proud of this one.

Mike's!

Barely remember this game, too. Box Score Research: Jered Weaver of the Angels pitches a gem, 7 1/3 innings and 11 K, 2 runs. Angels come from behind to tie in the 6th, take the lead in the 7th and win 3-2! Former Phillie Kevin Millwood starts for the Rangers, also pitches well and gets a no-decision. In total, 4 past/future Phillies start for both teams.

After the game, we met up with my awesome friend Jena and her hubby and son at a restaurant near Anaheim, and I hadn't seen her since 2000, and it was really great getting to hang out with her and her family. I neglected to get ANY photo evidence of the fact, though, which bums me out. Then we rolled down to San Diego for a night out on the town!

On to San Diego...
