Game 9 @ Daily News - 6/13/06

A much better game the following night against Daily News; although, they had a huge first inning (9 runs) and we never recovered. But we only lost by 10, so if you pretend the first inning didn't happen it was a really close game. After that, we actually played pretty well. We started the game with 9 in the field until the 3rd inning when Ryan decided to bless us with his presence. We did hit a whole lot better. Much nicer folks over at the Daily News, too.

Highlights? Hmm. Well, Ryan is now batting over .900 as he has gone 14-for-15 in 4 games and reached base every time. Chris Waldron made a sweet running catch on a very long, very foul ball against Daily News. Muchos, muchos kudos to Elise for stepping up and pitching both games, and she did a damn fine job. Also to Joe for getting back to his roots and playing 3rd base both games, and making some sweet plays there as well. And Chris Law took a turn at 1st base against Daily News because, as he said, it was "time for a change".
