Game 4 vs Constitution Center - 5/8/06

The third straight 1-run loss is a painful one, indeed. this time at least we didn't let a major lead get away, in fact it wasn't really that close until the last inning. we were down 2-3 after 2 and then they had 3-straight 3-run innings (including the second 3-run homer by the same guy) until we finally scored 4 in the bottom of the 5th to cut it to 7-12. We woke up defensively in the last two innings and shut them out while finally getting some hits strung together to get 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th but stranded the tying run at 1st. we didn't play that horribly, just bland enough to lose by 1 to a team that isn't that bad. we actually hit pretty well, but left 2 runners on base in 3-straight innings, had a minor base-running blunder, plus some good defensive plays on their part and we couldn't quite rack 'em up and get the big hits when we needed them. Todd had 3 strikeouts and caught about 3-dozen bullet line drives on the mound, though. right on.

Every game is now a must win! or something "coach-like".
